STEEL DECK

Steel Deck is a ribbed metal sheet used as a permanent formwork and structural support for concrete slabs, especially in multi-story buildings. It acts as a form during concrete pouring and later becomes part of the structural system.

It’s widely used in commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects due to its strength and speed of installation.

Available Thickness:

  • 0.80 mm | 1.00 mm | 1.20 mm

What You Need to Know About the Steel Deck?

Unlike traditional flooring systems, steel decks can act as both tension reinforcement and a fire barrier when properly coated. Some advanced steel deck systems are designed with acoustic dampening properties to reduce noise between floors.

Also, steel decks with embossments allow mechanical bonding with concrete, which boosts structural integrity—reducing the need for additional rebar in some designs. In seismic zones, steel decks can even enhance building flexibility and resistance to shaking.
