GI PLATES
GI Plates or Galvanized Iron Plates are flat, thick steel plates coated with zinc to protect against rust and corrosion.
Unlike GI sheets, which are thinner and often corrugated, GI plates are thicker, flatter, and more solid, making them ideal for structural and heavy-duty use.
Available Thickness:
- 1.2 mm | 1.5 mm | 2.0 mm | 2.5 mm | 3.0 mm

What You Need to Know About the GI Plates?
What many don’t realize is that GI plates are often preferred for underground and marine use because the zinc layer acts as a sacrificial anode—delaying corrosion even when scratched.
Their flat, solid profile also makes them suitable for anti-vibration floor systems in mechanical plants. While more commonly used in infrastructure, they are also applied in rural bridge construction due to their long-term weather durability and load tolerance.
